# Filter: gk/gravityview/view/refresh/history

Filters whether an update mints a history entry it can be restored from.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
|------|------|-------------|
| $use_history | `bool` | Whether to mint history entries. Default true. Returning false keeps the address bar in step without adding back-button stops, and back/forward then re-fetches from the URL. |
| $view | `\View` | The View being rendered. |
