# Filter: gk/gravitymath/datatables/visible/hidden-fields

Whether `scope="visible"` totals in a DataTables View's Custom Content widgets may follow the table when they read fields the table does not show as columns.

A visitor can show one row at a time, so such a total reveals each row's value of those fields. Off by default: those totals render as before (usually empty).

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
|------|------|-------------|
| $allowed | `bool` | Whether the totals follow the table. Default: false. |
| $view | `\View` | The View. |
| $fields | `string[]` | The field or input IDs the totals read that the table does not show. |
