# Action: gform_before_execute_ability

Fires before a Gravity Forms ability is executed.

This action fires only when the ability's permission check passes. It cannot block or modify execution.

## Parameters

| $ability_name | `string` | The registered ability name. |
| $input | `array` | The input passed to the ability. |
| $ability_object | `\GF_Ability` | The ability instance being executed. |

## Example

```
